Biography

Dr. Rebecca Piasecki is a Research Specialist for the Program Evaluation & Health Services Research Unit at the Institute for Health Policy. With over 15 years of research experience, Rebecca has developed a wide range of methodological skills and expertise, including in wet bench research, clinical research, and secondary data analysis. Her past research projects have received external funding, including from the National Institutes of Health. She has been a Registered Nurse since 2012, and has clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings in Michigan and Maryland. Rebecca’s research interests and expertise cover a range of topics, including community-engaged research, patient safety, quality improvement, healthcare services and delivery, and health policy. Rebecca holds undergraduate degrees from Michigan State University (BA in English, BS in Human Biology) and the University of Michigan (BSN) and received her PhD in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University.
