Region 2:

  • 8/12/25, 8:30am - 4:30pm, THRIVE 101, Northern Lakes CMH, 105 Hall St, Traverse City, MI 49684. THRIVE 101 is the foundational training in the THRIVE resilience program, designed to provide participants with practical, science-based tools to manage stress, build mental fitness, and support personal and professional well-being. This training is ideal for veterans, first responders, healthcare providers, educators, and anyone in service-oriented roles looking to strengthen resilience and connection. Registration can be done here.

Region 7:

  • 7/28/25, Ingham County Fair Military Appreciation Event. The Ingham County Fair Board is pleased to present the Military Appreciation Dinner at the Ingham County Fair on July 28, 2025. Admission to the event is free with paid admission into the Fair, which is just $1 on Monday, July 28. Dinner, which will be served at 5pm, is open to all Active Military, Veterans, National Guard, Reserves and their immediate families. The program will conclude around 6:30pm. Space is limited and we require registration to attend. Please register here.   • 8/2/25, 11:00am - 2:00pm, End-of-Summer Meet & Greet, UM Detroit Center, 3663 Woodward Ave #150, Detroit, MI 48201. This is a free, social event featuring a yoga therapy session with certified yoga therapist Kimberli Boyd and a healthy eating presentation with The Kitchen by Cooking with Que! All skill levels are welcome, yoga mat is optional but encouraged, and casual/comfortable clothing is recommended. Light refreshments will be provided to registered attendees, and parking is free. Registration can be done here. 

  • 10/25/25, 9:00am - 3:00pm, 2025 Veteran Health Conference, UM Detroit Center, 3663 Woodward Ave #150, Detroit, MI 48201. Registration information is coming soon. Until then, please mark your calendars for one of our largest events of the year!

Statewide:

  • 7/14/25, 1:00pm - 2:00pm, We look forward to hearing from Dr. Kevin Saulnier presenting his work on “Factors to Improve Identification of Veterans At Risk for Suicide.  Advance registration is not required.   • Military & First Responders THRIVE Resilience Fundamentals and Elevating Leadership & Peer Support Skills, Classes offered in-person in a variety of locations across MI from April – July 2025. These trainings are for Veterans, National Guard, first responders, family members, as well as veteran service providers and other supporters within the military community.
