Biography

Julie DuPuis works as a data resource analyst at the Institute for Health Policy (IHP) where she acts as a Medicaid Specialist.  She supports IHP activities on policy analysis, health services research and evaluation activities involving Medicaid affiliated health programs.  Julie arrived at the Institute after a 29 year career with the State of Michigan serving 19 years at the Medical Services Administration.  In her state career, she was a recognized Medicaid resource where she ascended to manage the Rates and Encounter Data Section.  In that position she worked to implement the Healthy Michigan program overseeing the use of Encounter Data generating quarterly statements to over 600,000 Healthy Michigan members.  In addition, she served as an agency expert in several substantial departmental programs including assuming a pivotal role in creating, testing, and implementing the HMO rate setting system for the Community Health Automated Payment System.  Julie holds a Master degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Western Michigan.   You can reach her at 517-432-1701 or Julie.DuPuis@hc.msu.edu
